Appointments

Consultations are by appointment only – you may consult any doctor in the practice, but it is preferable to stay with one doctor for each particular problem. We provide what is known as an “advanced access” appointments service. In essence this means that we provide clinical care in a range of ways, which should mean that you get better access to clinicians.

We schedule most of our appointments so that they are available on the day you ring – so in order to get the appointment most suited to your needs it is better to ring early and you will be given an appointment that day. Only a limited number of appointments may be booked in advance.

Our medical receptionists may well ask you to give an indication of why you need to see the doctor so that you can be booked in to the most appropriate appointment.

Telephone Consultations

Telephone consultations are available with the doctors for problems that do not require a “face-to-face” consultation. To book a telephone consultation please telephone 0844 477 1851.

Home Visits

We believe that most problems are better dealt with at the surgery if at all possible, but are happy to visit patients at home, if clinically indicated.

Telephone 0844 477 1851 before 10.30am, if possible. It will be necessary to give the Receptionist as much information as possible as to the nature of the problem so that the urgency of your call may be assessed.

We are not able to guarantee which doctor will be able to visit.
