As of 23 June 2025, Mounjaro® (Tirzepatide) is now available nationally through the NHS for those who meet specific eligibility criteria.
However, in Lancashire and South Cumbria, this medication is not yet available locally.
Please do not contact your GP at this time, as they are currently unable to prescribe or refer for Mounjaro.
🩺 Who may be eligible?
You must have:
✅ A BMI of 40+ (or 37.5+ for people from minority ethnic backgrounds)
✅ At least 4 of these long-term conditions:
Type 2 diabetes or non-diabetic hyperglycaemia
High blood pressure
Dyslipidaemia
Cardiovascular disease
Diagnosed sleep apnoea
